Balaenoptera physalus
| Measuring sometimes more than 20 m for
a weight of 40 tons, it is the 2-nd bigger animal of the earth, just after the blue whale.
Dark gray back, breath is observable under the shape of a vertical column of vapor being
able to reach 6 m. It presents an extremely rare peculiarity: the right-hand side of the
head is white, the left-hand side is dark. This asymmetry would allow him to deceive its
preys when it arrests them by swimming on the side. |
