|
| RIMMO is an
association created in July 1992 whose vocation is the effective installation of a
Maritime International Reserve in the Mediterranean Occidentale. RIMMO protests in particular
against the massacre of dolphins, victims per thousands of the drifting nets.
The objective General of
RIMMO is to protect all the marine populations from the Mediterranean basin. |
To conclude this
step of safeguarding, it has a thorough knowledge of the inhabitants of the Mediterranean
while defining with precision how much dolphins, whales and other mammals marine live in
the Mediterranean, determining the interactions of pollution with their medium which can
elucidate the causes of the strandings in series...
Each year, RIMMO brings together
scientific and legal experts of the 7 countries on the Mediterranean Occidentale. Its goal
is to support the exchange between the multi-field teams of the international
organizations to define a program scientific search in environment. Legal teams finding
the tools for a more severe regulation and an efficient control of the sanctuary. |
